Policy Against Unsolicited Advertising

ASE Tech does not send unsolicited advertising. This page sets out how we make contact, the standards we hold ourselves and our partners to, and how to stop hearing from us.

Our commitment

We do not send unsolicited commercial electronic messages. We do not purchase, rent, harvest or otherwise acquire contact lists from third parties for marketing purposes, and we do not send marketing to an address obtained in that way.

Our marketing is governed by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth), the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. ASE Tech is ISO 27001 certified, and we treat the handling of personal information as a security obligation rather than a marketing convenience.

How we obtain consent

We contact people on one of three bases; each permitted under the Spam Act 2003.

  • Express consent. The person has given us their details and agreed to hear from us, for example by registering for one of our events, requesting a report, or subscribing to our updates.
  • An existing business relationship. The person is a customer, or represents an organisation we currently work with, and communication relates directly to that relationship.
  • Business contact details published in a professional capacity. Where a work address has been conspicuously published without a statement that unsolicited commercial messages are not wanted, and our message is directly relevant to that person's professional role.

What every message from us contains

  • Accurate identification of ASE Tech as the sender, with contact details that remain valid for at least 30 days after sending.
  • A truthful sender name and subject line that reflects the content of the message.
  • A clear and functional unsubscribe facility that costs nothing to use and stays active for at least 30 days after sending.

We act to unsubscribe requests within five business days, as the Spam Act requires, and in practice we process them immediately.

Telephone contact

Where we or an appointed partner contact businesses by telephone, we screen against the Do Not Call Register and comply with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth) and the Telemarketing and Research Calls Industry Standard. We identify ourselves and the organisation we represent at the start of every call, and we honour a request not to be contacted again.

Our partners

We engage third parties in marketing and business development activities. Those partners are contractually required to meet the standards set out in this policy, and we audit their practices.

How we promote our services

We rely on organic search and our own website and blog, educational content and research we publish, industry events we host or sponsor, permission-based advertising on platforms where users have expressed a relevant interest, and referrals from existing customers.

How to stop hearing from us

Use the unsubscribe link in any message you have received or contact us at sales@ase.tech. We will remove you from all ASE Tech marketing lists, not only the one that reached you.

Reporting a concern

If you believe you have received a message from ASE Tech that breaches this policy or the Spam Act 2003, contact us at sales@ase.tech and include a copy of the message with full headers where you are able to. We investigate every report we receive. Where a breach is confirmed, we take corrective action, up to and including ending our relationship with any partner responsible.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Australian Communications and Media Authority at acma.gov.au.

Review

This policy is reviewed annually and whenever our marketing practices change. Last reviewed 31 July 2026.
